Rice Pudding Recipe
This recipe for rice pudding has simple ingredients and is delicious served warm or cold. It's rich and creamy flavor can be enhanced with nutmeg, cinnamon, cherries, or the topping of your choice.
- 1/4 cup uncooked rice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- nutmeg, cinnamon, or your favorite topping
In bowl, mix together rice, salt, sugar, milk and vanilla. Pour into buttered baking dish. Sprinkle top with nutmeg or cinnamon. Bake for 3 hours at 300°. Turn the brown top under about every 20 minutes with a fork for the first 2 hours. Before serving, add fruit or other toppings if desired.
