There's nothing better than old-fashioned oatmeal cookies. What's good about this recipe is that you can easily add more unique flavor with optional chopped nuts or chocolate chips. Recipe Ingredients 1/2 c. margarine 1 1/4 c. granulated sugar 2 large eggs 1/4 c., plus 1 Tbsp. of molasses 2 c. rolled oats 1 3/4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 3/4 c. chopped nuts, optional chocolate chips, optional Directions Preheat oven to 350°. Cream together the margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs and molasses. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a separate bowl and add to margarine and sugar mixture. Add rolled oats. Stir in optional nuts and/or chocolate chips if desired. Drop onto lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes. |
