Baked beans are a perfect side dish for ham or pork. Not only
that, they're easy to make and add that traditional flavor that
will compliment any meal. This recipe will serve a large family
and will work for just about any occasion.
Recipe Ingredients
3 large (1 lb 15 oz) cans of pork and beans
1 large onion, chopped
1 c. ketchup
1/4 c. dark molasses
1 tsp mustard
bacon strips
Mix all but the bacon strips in a large bowl. Place in a 9x13
baking pan. Place several bacon strips over the top. Bake at 400°
for 30-45 minutes or until mixture is bubbling. Reduce heat and
cook for another 2-3 hours, your choice. The longer cooking
time, the less liquid content will be in the beans.
